Emily Weinstein is a psychologist and researcher who studies teens’ experiences with new technologies. She is co-founder of the Center for Digital Thriving at Harvard Graduate School of Education and co-authored Behind Their Screens: What Teens Are Facing (And Adults Are Missing) with her longtime colleague Carrie James. Emily is passionate about youth voice work and co-created The Youth Voice Playbook as a resource to help elevate youth perspectives across the field. She also advocates for a critically optimistic approach to tech—bringing attention to the ways tech design and human development collide, and orienting toward digital agency that helps all young people thrive.
